The grounds are beautifully maintained with a lovely atmosphere, especially with the cozy library by the open fire. Enjoyed a delicious traditional cooked breakfast, complemented by well-presented good coffee. Noise from nearby events made it a bit disruptive at times, and the decor, while pleasant, could use a modern touch to enhance the ambiance.

The units are silent, immaculately clean with a king size bed and a gorgeous bathroom attached plus an equally large bedroom.

The mobile signal and Wi-Fi were intermittent !!! The hotel's remoteness made excursions difficult, with local transport options nearly non-existent!!!

We felt so welcomed by the friendly owner and loved taking a leisurely stroll through the magnificent gardens, which led us right to the River Ouse. It was the perfect way to unwind after exploring nearby landmarks like the Howden Minster and the charming Howden Heritage Centre, both just a short walk away.

The staff were indifferent when I reported the flickering bathroom light. The low water pressure in the shower was frustrating and went unresolved. There was no breakfast service offered, which left me disappointed, and I could have used assistance with my luggage as I struggled with three bags up to the second floor.

This place suits me perfectly! I enjoy the free wi-fi, relaxing bar, and seasonal outdoor pool. On my first visit, the staff helped me find local attractions. I recommend trying their in-room breakfast. I'm coming back for a city break!

Exploring beautiful parks and historical landmarks

I enjoyed my recent stay as it was a beautiful place with superbly furnished rooms, making the perfect base for a weekend of city strolling at nearby historical landmarks like Howden Minster and the Yorkshire Waterways Museum, great for scenic walks and cultural exploration nearby.

The grounds are simply stunning! 🏞️ So serene, walking by the river made me forget all my worries. Just wished there was better room service at night.

It was just a commendable fit for a quick weekend visit with very good value for money. Arrive in daylight. The roads can be tricky.
